BOTW: Christmas Eve (Lush)
After a particularly long 11 hour work day, I decided to relax with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and my favorite bubble bar ever, Christmas Eve!! I was in desperate need of some caffeine.
I only used half, but look at that mountain of bubbles! And they lasted the whole bath. This scent is so relaxing for me, and it lasts in my hair into even the next day (even after a shower with hair wash)! I would love for this to be made into a perfume (come on Lush, get on that!). It still reigns as my favorite bath product of all time (and yes, I will totally be hoarding this come boxing day).
I finished TGWKTHN! And it was amazing! I am so sad that it's over, and wish Stieg Larsson was still alive to write more. This is definitely up there on my list of favorite books. If you haven't read them, what are you waiting for!? You will not regret picking up this trilogy. =)

Fortune Cookie Holiday Release!
Fortune Cookie Soap launched their holiday collections last night! It includes full product lines for all the scents in the box, Zero being the most tempting for me. They have also released Candy Cane Fluff (pink sugar and candy cane) and Tangle in the Tinsel (pink sugar and cola) products, popular from last year. As well as a few other odds and ends (check the new section) that would make the cutest presents!
Take a look before they sell out! =)

Lush Limited Edition Perfumes!
So if you ever wished you could smell like "insert Lush product here" all day long, you should definitely check out the limited edition perfumes they have released! They just came out yesterday and will be around only until they sell out.
This one was so tempting for me! I am a bit of a Snow Fairy freak, and the scent takes really well to my skin. If you like Snow Fairy or Candy Mountain, you will probably like this one. It smells a bit like cotton candy, very sweet smell. I really wanted it, but couldn't afford three (it was a stretch for two!). Maybe next year...please be around next year!
If you love the Snowcake soap or the smell of marzipan (an almondy cherry smell to me), then you will love this one!
I am such a sucker for a good floral scent! If you love the Rose Jam Bubbleroon, Ro's Argan, or Rose Jam shower gel, you will love this! It has a wonderful floral smell with sweetness to keep it from being too powdery and lemon to elevate and round the scent. Couldn't pass this one up!
This one would be perfect for most people who love the Ponche shower gel. I adore the shower gel, citrusy with tequila, but I was afraid of how boozy the perfume would be. It is also the first time released fragrance, so I couldn't get anyone's opinion. Maybe another year.
My lovely, lovely Calacas. When I had the shower jelly of this last year, I would keep it next to me so I could sniff it throughout the day. This was definitely one I couldn't pass up! It smells like lime candy! If you love Enchanter or Calacas, you will definitely want this perfume.
So excited to get the two I ordered in the mail! So what were the most tempting to you?

BOTW: So White (Lush)
$6.45
So, I just couldn't wait to start The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest! I had a night bath as well...I decided to try So White to see if it was different from last year (I was hoping for more pink/red color in the bath). I also paired it with a Cranberry Apple Zinger; it seemed appropriate in an apple scented bath.
Well, it was definitely pinker than last year, but still not very impressive. It also didn't do much for my skin, but it left such an amazing scent in my hair that lingered for hours! I wish I could buy this in a perfume (apparently they have released this in previous perfume releases for the Holidays, I just missed it from previous years).
This book seems to focus more on politics, but still manages to captivate my attention. Excited to read more!
The tea was good, although the cranberry is definitely more prominent and leaves quite a tartness to it.

BOTW: The Christmas Penguin (Lush)
$7.45
Decided to try out the Christmas Penguin (I did cut him in half for this bath, poor thing) to finish off my book! Since it was a morning bath, I paired it with coffee and a clearanced bottle off cinnamon cream, which honestly, I am not too crazy about. It tastes a lot like when I run out of creamer and resort to trying my own concoctions, i.e. milk and cinnamon. Never tasted too exceptional to me, definitely not a repurchase.
Now the Christmas Penguin had a lovely smell that filled the bath, olive oil-ish like Olive Branch. It left a good bit of bubbles and gave the water a light icy blue. If I had used the whole thing, it might have been a darker color, but I would have drowned in bubbles! The bubbles lasted most of the bath. A possible re-buy, but definitely not over my favorite Christmas Eve.
I did finish The Girl Who Played With Fire! It was so amazing! I was on the edge of my seat especially for this last section. I can't wait to start the last book!

Bath of the Week: Star Light, Star Bright (Lush)
$6.95
I finally decided to take the plunge and try Star Light, Star Bright. I have been so scared of the mess it might leave! The smell was so amazing for the morning, like fresh lime; so I paired it with coffee and my limited edition Red Velvet Cupcake creamer (which is delicious!).
The smell in the bath was lovely! It stayed throughout the bath and stuck some to my skin and hair when I got out, along with like a bazillion pieces of glitter. It left the water a really light blue with extra shimmer. My skin was so soft when I got out (even after the necessary shower to wash out some glitter). This melt was nice to try, but I would never buy it again. The mess was about what you would expect, both in the tub and on me!
The creamer paired so well with my Cyclone coffee (a dark roast). If you like red velvet, even a little, this creamer will definitely be up your alley!
As for the Girl Who Played with Fire, I am getting close to the end. One more bath will probably finish it off. It is soooo good! I tend to lose track of the time, and take much longer baths reading it. I am going to be so sad when I finish this series.
Happy bathing!

FCS Soap Box Haul/First Impressions: Night Before Christmas
It's finally here!! My Nightmare Before Christmas soap box from Fortune Cookie Soap! And it was definitely worth the wait.
EEEK! That bug did take me a bit by surprise, but it is so perfect for Oogie Boogie (OCD hand sanitizer)! The scent is described as "smushed winter berries against a backdrop of sweet muted cinnamon." I love this scent! It smells just so fruity with a hint of cinnamon.
This soap is so adorably Sally! It has such a clean scent; the cotton and breeze smell descriptions are so dead-on!
I love the design of this bath melt! And the smell is super piney with a spice note (cinnamon?). This smells exactly like a Christmas tree to me!
I am so excited to try their dry shampoo! This smells amazing too! It smells like Twisted Peppermint from Bath and Body Works in the bottle; I'm excited to see if the pumpkin becomes more prominent out of the bottle. I would definitely buy this scent in other products!
Such a perfect sculpt of Jack (bath fizzy)! The smell is unique and lovely; it smells earthy with berry mint notes, very uplifting!
Sandy Claws (exfoliating body butter) smells like a chocolate chip cookie to me. Very yummy!
I got Christmas Town for my whipped cream (there were 4 possibilities, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and Halloween). I am dying to know what the others smell like, but Christmas Town smells amazing! It smells like relaxing incense with a hint of pine in the tub, but the pine is more prominent on the skin. Love!
The What's This roll on perfume is a secret scent for the mystery fragrance contest they are running. I am not sure what this scent is yet, but I will say that it is definitely a sweet scent. It is also one of my favorites in the box!
This box surprised me. I loved everything, even the scents that I normally wouldn't go for! They are just so great at coming up with unique and beautiful scents. I can't wait to place my order for some full size products on November 22 when these are finally released!
Happy bathing,
