The first Christmas gift from Lush that I will be breaking down is called Rosy Christmas. It features a limited edition Rose Jam shower gel that is touted as online only; however, I have seen it at my local Lush store. So be aware, that you may or may not be able to find this in store. I would suggest contacting your local store first to inquire.
$15.95
The packaging for this is really pretty! I love how they echo the rose theme onto the paper; however, one could probably find a nice floral patterned wrapping paper if they looked. So are the 2 products within actually worth $15.95 or is there a substantial upcharge for the packaging?
$32.95
Ro's Argan Body Conditioner is $32.95 for a 7.9oz (or 8.4oz depending on if you believe the container or the website...); the size that is included in the gift set is 1.7oz. The price per oz is about $4.17 (or $3.92 for what is on the container). So that would put the cost at about $7.09 (or $6.67) for the 1.7oz included. Keep in mind however, that if you have wanted to try this product but have veered away due to the price; this would be a much more inexpensive way to try it out.
$10.95-29.95
The price for the 3.3oz bottle included in this gift is $10.95.
This puts the total value of products alone at about $18.04 (or $17.62), for a savings of $2.09 (or $1.67). Not bad for a beautifully packaged gift! I would definitely recommend getting this affordable gift for any rose lovers in your life (and self-gifts are always good!); especially if they already love Lush's Rose Jam bubble bar (the scent both of these products are based on). It is an excellent way to try both products out without totally breaking the bank.
Verdict: Buy!
Happy bathing,
Jen the Peony Picker
